Singapore Buddhist Welfare Services (SBWS) was registered with Registry of Societies and The Charities Branch on 27th May 1981 and 8th May 1991 respectively.

It is a full member of the National Council of Social Services (NCSS) and works closely with the Ministry of Community Development Youth and Sports (MCYS), Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprises (SCORE).



To extend social welfare services to the community.
To work together with government and recognised welfare bodies.
To relieve poverty, sufferings, ignorance or ill health of needy persons.
To establish institutional care for the needy, aged, children or handicapped.
To provide facilities to cater to the needs of the residents in neighbouring estates
  interested in educational and cultural activities.
